Rogue Pixel Productions – Building a Creative Digital Agency
Motivation
Rogue Pixel Productions was born out of a passion for design, storytelling, and helping small to mid-sized businesses and creative entrepreneurs build their online presence. I wanted to create a studio that could offer the full spectrum of digital production—from websites and branding to digital marketing strategy—all with a hands-on, personalized approach.
My Role & Contributions
As the founder and lead developer/designer, I built Rogue Pixel Productions from the ground up. I led every project from discovery through design and deployment, and collaborated with a broad client base, including:
Clients: A1A Printing, Accredited Language Services, All-ways Forwarding, Amethyst Artisan, AnimAction, Brother Earth, Bruckner Arts and Antique District, Cafe Petite Crevette, Casa Cultural Puertorriqueña, CBC Media, Development Without Limits, East 138th Street Shopping District, Educational Networks, Federacion Hispana De Futbol, Fun and Family, House of Artful Expression, Latitude Bar & Lounge, Legal Language Services, MetLife Foundation, MicroBin INC, Newline, Ondecuko, PB Bridal, Penny House Café, SOBRO, Social Bar: Grill & Lounge, Strang Cancer Prevention Center, Systems Defined, TASC, The Afro Electro 5 Piece, The Center for Leadership and Workforce Development, Trackdocs, Winona County Minnesota Old Settlers’ Association, and Wolin Wellness Center.

Notable Projects
One of the biggest challenges was transitioning a high-traffic site without disrupting user experience. Replacing Flash with JavaScript required custom coding to preserve functionality while improving accessibility. Aligning the team with web standards and consistent practices was also critical for long-term maintainability.
- NYCThirst - A digital guide to bar culture across NYC's five boroughs; full website design and content strategy to engage locals and tourists alike.
- The Geek Out - A curated digital space for all things geek: comics, sci-fi, tech, gaming, music and nerd culture. The Geek Out is both newsletter and site, powered by Vue and built to deliver bite-sized obsessions. It’s where content is crafted for fans who live and breathe their passions.
- The Octopus and The Wolf Comic Production Studio - A creative universe for original comics and web stories. The Octopus and The Wolf Web Emporium blends illustration, storytelling, and digital publishing into a space for the weird, witty, and wonderful. Expect webcomics, art, and immersive storytelling that doesn’t play by the rules.
- Art For Your Mouth - A recipe site with attitude. Art For Your Mouth brings flavor and design together, serving up recipes that are as creative as they are delicious. Coming soon with bold visuals, smart UX, and a storytelling layer that makes cooking content feel fresh.
- Sean Pisano Studios - Transforms email marketing into a results driven, brand elevating experience powered by strategy, design, and automation.
- Penny House Café - Designed and developed a minimalist, elegant site showcasing the cafe’s unique vibe and menu.
Challenges
Balancing the unique needs of such a diverse client base was a continual challenge. Each business required a tailored solution with a different creative voice, marketing approach, and technical setup. Working largely solo, I had to manage time efficiently, communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and constantly shift gears between creative and technical thinking. Building scalable websites that non-developers could update independently was critical, as many clients didn’t have dedicated in-house teams.
Results & Success Metrics
Rogue Pixel Productions helped dozens of clients build stronger digital identities, increase engagement, and reach new audiences. Websites were built to be scalable and user-friendly, and several clients saw measurable growth in lead generation and brand awareness. The studio became a creative partner to both entrepreneurs and nonprofits, focused on empowering them with the tools to grow and communicate their mission.
